About Us
Founded in 1987 as Ambrose Fan Architect, the firm has evolved through the years—becoming Fan & Dutra Architect in 1992—and then Dutra Architect Inc. in 2005 and finally DUTRA ARCHITECT in 2025 after the passing of Dino Dutra. With expertise in new builds and renovations, we have provided innovative architectural solutions for a variety of long standing clients across Canada and select U.S. regions for over 30 years.
Our Story
In 2024, we unfortunately lost our founder, Dino Dutra, to a brief but courageous battle with cancer. His legacy remains deeply ingrained in our firm. Known for his generosity, Dino wished to be remembered not just as an architect but as someone who embodied a giving spirit—an ethos that inspires us every day.

After Dino’s passing, longtime associate Brent Davies stepped forward to lead the firm. Partnering with long time friend and Architect Michelle Pavone, who brings over 18 years of expertise in sports & entertainment architecture, having managed such notable products as the renovations of the Forum in Los Angeles & Toronto's own Scotiabank Arena.
